DUBLIN — The Knights couldn’t the bats going Saturday and lost to visiting West Columbus in a non-conference game, 5-1.

Hunter Pait had the only success for the Knights, lacing a pair of singles — one of those coming in the seventh and, thanks to pair of errors, allowed Pait to score West Bladen’s only run.

The Vikings too the lead with two runs in the second inning off Knights starter Caleb Sholar, then added a run in the fifth frame and sealed things with two more in the seventh.

West Bladen, now 7-5 overall, will travel to Teachey on Tuesday for a conference game against Wallace-Rose Hill.
