Des Bryant Football Camp is July 15

ELIZABETHTOWN — The annual Desmond Bryant Football Camp will be held at East Bladen High on Saturday, July 15, from 8:30 a.m.until 12:30 p.m.

The camp is free and open to youth ages 6 to 18 years old.

Registration forms must be signed by a parent or guardian and are due by June 24. Registration forms can be picked up or dropped off at the following locations: Bladen County Public Library locations in Clarkton, Bladenboro and Elizabethtown; and the Bladen County Parks and Recreation Office on King Street in Elizabethtown.

Applications can also be mailed to Desmond Bryant Football Camp, P.O. Box 2859, Elizabethtown, N.C. 28337.

West Bladen to host cheer camp

DUBLIN — West Bladen varsity cheerleaders will host their annual cheerleading camp June 27-30 from 9 a.m. to noon with June 30 being the Parent day.

The camp is open to ages 3 to 14 years old. Cost of the camp is 50, which includes a WBHS Cheer shirt and light refreshments. All participates will cheer at a varsity football game and the date for that is to be determined.

Applications can be downloaded off the WBHS website at www.westbladen.nc.bch.schoolsites.com or picked up at West Bladen High School.

Application deadline is June 19 with no refunds unless camp is cancelled.

Summer Jam is set at West

DUBLIN — The second annual West Bladen Girls Summer Jam is scheduled for Tuesday, June 27, at West Bladen High School.

The day-long basketball scrimmages will feature 14 teams and will begin at 10 a.m.

Rotary golf tourney is June 15

ELIZABETHTOWN — The first-ever Rotary International Cup Golf Tournament will be hosted by the Elizabethtown Rotary Club at Vineyard Golf at White Lake on Thursday, June 15.

The format will be a Captain’s Choice with a shotgun start at 1 p.m.

Registration is $50 per player and will include green fee, cart, lunch and beverage ticket. There will also be mulligans, 50-50 raffles, prizes, awards and more available.

The tournament will benefit Bladen County students through scholarships.

Open gym for volleyball set

DUBLIN — West Bladen High will host a volleyball open gym from 8:30 to 10 a.m. on four Mondays this summer.

The dates will be June 26, July 10, July 24 and July 31.

Participants will need a current physical to attend.

Mini volleyball camp scheduled

DUBLIN — West Bladen High School will host a Mini Volleyball Camp on July 17-19 for ages 8 to 13 from 9 a.m. to noon each day.

The cost for early registration is $50 and includes a free T-shirt. Registration will also be open at 8:30 a.m. on the day of the camp. If you register on the day of camp, the fee is $60 and does not guarantee a T-shirt.

Mini cheerleader camp is set

ELIZABETHTOWN — A Mini Eagles Cheer Camp hosted by East Bladen varsity and jayvee cheerleaders will be held June 19-22 at East Bladen High School from 9 a.m. to noon each day for ages 3 to 13.

Cost will be $50 per participant and includes camper T-shirt and snacks each day. Mini cheerleaders will perform during the halftime home varsity football games on Sept. 1 and Sept. 15.

Register by June 5 to receive a T-shirt. Also:

— Sign-in/register June 19 at 8:30 a.m.

— Wear T-shirts, shorts, tennis shoes, and hair in pony tail.

— Bring water bottle

— Parent Performance on June 22 at 11 a.m. (wear camp T-shirt)
