Hardin named to All-Cape Fear Region Soccer Team

FAFYETTEVILLE — Ashley Hardin, a rising junior at East Bladen High, was selected by The Fayetteville Observer to the All-Cape Fear Region Soccer Team on Tuesday.

Hardin, who helped lead the Lady Eagles to a 16-5 record overall and 10-4 in the Four County Conference, was named to the second team.

During her sophomore season, Hardin scored 10 goals, which was third on the team. She also led the team with 42 assists, 194 steals and took 60 corner kicks.

Hardin is a midfielder with East Bladen.

Other area players named to the All-Cape Fear Region Soccer Team included:

— Hall Gilpin, a senior defender at Clinton High, was named to the first team.

— Abigail Lowry, a freshman midfielder for Purnell Swett High, was named to the second team.

— Taylor Spell, a freshman forward at Clinton High, was named to the second team.

— Jade Morrison, a junior forward at Gray’s Creek High, was named to the second team.
