West volleyball to host alumni game

DUBLIN — The West Bladen Lady Knights volleyball team will hold an alumni game on Saturday, July 22, at 10 a.m. in the school’s main gym.

The cost will be $10 to play and $2 for admission. The gym will be availale July 20 at 7 p.m. for any alumni who wishes to come and sharpen or refine their skills.

Des Bryant Football Camp is Saturday

ELIZABETHTOWN — The annual Desmond Bryant Football Camp will be held at East Bladen High on Saturday from 8:30 a.m.until 12:30 p.m.

The camp is free and open to youth ages 6 to 18 years old.

Registration forms must be signed by a parent or guardian and are due by June 24. Registration forms can be picked up or dropped off at the following locations: Bladen County Public Library locations in Clarkton, Bladenboro and Elizabethtown; and the Bladen County Parks and Recreation Office on King Street in Elizabethtown.

Applications can also be mailed to Desmond Bryant Football Camp, P.O. Box 2859, Elizabethtown, N.C. 28337.

Open gym for volleyball set

DUBLIN — West Bladen High will host a volleyball open gym from 8:30 to 10 a.m. on two more Mondays this summer.

The dates will be July 24 and July 31.

Participants will need a current physical to attend.

Mini volleyball camp scheduled

DUBLIN — West Bladen High School will host a Mini Volleyball Camp on July 17-19 for ages 8 to 13 from 9 a.m. to noon each day.

The cost for early registration is $50 and includes a free T-shirt. Registration will also be open at 8:30 a.m. on the day of the camp. If you register on the day of camp, the fee is $60 and does not guarantee a T-shirt.
