ROWLAND — West Bladen’s tennis girls surrendered just five game points Thursday en route to a 9-0 whiteashing of South Robeson in a Three Rivers Conference match.
The Lady Knights improved to 5-0 overall and in the c0nference on the season.
In singles matches, No.1 Conner Brisson and No. 2 Helen Lopez each earned easy 8-1 wins, but the next four seeds — No. 3 Autumn Brisson, No. 4 Alyssa SMith, No. 5 Mireya Sandovaland No. 6 Haleigh Dunn — made things easier with 8-0 shutouts.
In the doubles matches, West Bladen tandem of Conner Brisson and Lopez got an 8-2 win at No. 1 and the No. 2 duo of Sandoval and SMith took an 8-1 victory.
South Robeson forfeited at No. 3 doubles because of an injury.

— In Elizabethtown on Thursday, the Lady Eagles shut out visiting West Columbus by the scores of 25-18, 25-14 and 25-17. It was East Bladen’s first win of the season.
Hannah Devane led East Bladen with nine kills.
The Lady Eagles are now 1-5 overall and 1-3 in the conference.
— In Rowland on Thursday, visiting West Bladen put up a big battle but fell in four sets to host South Robeson by the scores of 25-22, 21-25, 25-14 qnd 25-23.
The Lady Knights are now 0-6 overall and 0-4 in the Three Rivers Conference.
“The girls played extremely well,” said West Bladen coach Gaye Davis. “Giving their all is all I can ask for.”
Raegan Davis led the Lady Knights with 10 aces and five kills; Patience Parker had three blocks, a kill and an ace; Alise Pait had three kills and an ace.
