ELIZABETHTOWN — East Bladen pitched a shutout Wednesday against visiting West Bladen in the Three Rivers Conference regular-season finale, officially clinching the conference crown with an 8-0 win.

The Eagles are now 20-1 overall and 14-0 in the conference, while the Knights fell to 7-9-2 and 7-6-1. Both will now await their potential playoff berths.

Brooks McGill scored a hat trick for East Bladen and Caleb Hatchell added a pair of goals in the match. Also scoring for the Eagles was Jacob Barber, Jake Evans and Greyson Heustess.

East Bladen built a 3-0 advantage by intermission, then sealed the match with five goals in the second half.

Hatchell and Heustess each recorded a hat trick in assists, while Dan Tatum, Pierce Melvin, McGill, Evans and Gabe Barber each had one.

The Eagles had 143 steals in the match, led by Melvin with 18 and Evans with 16. The Eagles also had a 13-1 advantage in corners. Scott Spencer and Jacob Priest combined for three saves in the East Bladen nets.
