Volleyball: Lady Knights fall

— In Dublin on Tuesday, West Bladen fell to visiting Pender County in a Four County Conference matchup by the scores of 21-25, 25-14, 17-25, 26-24, 13-15.

Laikyn Pait led the Lady Knights with 17 service winners that included three aces. She also added two kills.

Morgan Schumacher contributed 13 service points with two aces and five kills, while Logan Autry had 10 service points with seven kills and 14 assists.

Lorna Smith had five blocks for West Bladen.

Tennis: West wins

— The Lady Knights defeated Pender County in a Four County Conference match by the score of 9-0 on Tuesday.

In singles action, No. 1 Alanna Ludlum served up a 6-0, 6-0 whitewashing, while No. 2 Amber Long got a 6-2,6-0 win; No. 3 Helen Lopez picked up a 6-4, 6-4 win; Madison Singltary narrowly missed a shutout at No. 4 with a 6-0, 6-1 win; No. 5 Haley Dimery battled for a 6-4, 6-7, 1-0 win; and No. 6 Rachel Brown earned a 6-1, 6-0 win.

In doubles, Ludlum and Long teamed for an 8-1 win at No. 1; Lopez and Singletary took a hard-fought 9-7 win at No. 2; and Dimery teamed up with Conner Brisson for an 8-2 win at No. 3.

Volleyball: Lady Eagles fall

— In Rocky Point on Monday, the Lady Eagles lost to Heidi Trask in Four County Conference action in four games by the scores of 25-21, 15-25, 25-23 and 25-19.

Lacey Suggs led East Bladen with 14 service points, four aces and nine kills, while Lexie Mendell added 10 service points, two aces and eight kills. Miller Heustess contributed 16 assists and Hannah DeVane had 10 service points and three kills.

Claire Campbell had three aces and four kills.
