RED SPRINGS — The Red Devils opened a six-point lead after the first quarter and continually pulled away Friday to beat visiting East Bladen, 77-39, in a Three Rivers Conference game.

The loss drops the Eagles to 0-3 overall and 0-3 in the conference.

Red Springs opened an 18-12 advantage after the first quarter, then blitzed the visitors with a 24-9 run through the second stanza to create a 42-21 lead at halftime.

Things didn’t get better in the second half for East Bladen, as the Red Devils put together a 20-6 burst through the third quarter and increased their lead to 62-27.

The two teams all but traded points through the fourth frame, but Red Springs still got the better of it with a 15-12 advantage to seal the 38-point win.

Anthony Wooten led East Bladen with nine points — all coming on three-pointers in the second half. Adonis Avery added seven points.

The Eagles will play host to West Columbus at 8 p.m. Tuesday.
