DUBLIN — West Bladen High’s basketball program will hold its annual Lil’ Knights Instructional League starting Jan. 9 at the school.

According to Knights varsity boys head coach Travis Pait, who will join the other high-school basketball coaches as instructors, the league will be held on six Saturdays — Jan. 9, Jan. 16, Jan. 30, Feb. 6, Feb. 13 and Feb. 20.

Cost for the league will be $25 per participant, each of whom will receive a reversible jersey.

There will two co-ed instructional leagues: boys and girls in grades one through three; and boys and girls in grades four through six.

“Participants will learn basketball fundamentals, as well as compete by playing games,” Pait said.

Pait added that registration for the league must be completed no later than Dec. 23. Registration can be done in person at West Bladen High on Dec. 21-23 from 2 to 8 p.m. or by mail — send name, address, telephone number, name and age of participant(s) along with registration fee(s) to: West Bladen Athletic Association, P.O. Box 947, Bladenboro, N.C. 28320. Send no cash, checks should be made out to West Bladen Athletic Association.
