ELIZABETHTOWN — A total of four football players from the Four County Conference were named to The Fayetteville Observer’s annual All-Cape Fear Region football team, including junior Ethan Hines of East Bladen.

Hines was named to the second team as a return specialist.

During an injury-plagued season in which he played in all or just parts of eight games, Hines racked up 1,324 all-purpose yards — including nine kickoff returns for a total of 418 yards and four touchdowns, as well as three punt returns for 116 yards and a touchdown.

Other Four County Conference players named included:

— Junior Ryheem Skinner of Clinton, first team running back. He accumulated 2,173 yards and 23 touchdowns this past season.

— Senior RayQuan Faison of Clinton, first team linebacker. He had 86 tackles and also rushed for 1,002 yards and 16 touchdowns.

— Junior Prentice Murphy of Clinton, second team defensive lineman.

Other nearby players named were:

— Junior Julius Caulder of Fairmont, first team quarterback. He passed for 3,680 yards and 36 touchdowns. Also rushed for 450 yards and eight touchdowns.

— Junior Jarique Moore of Fairmont, first team wide receiver. He caught 65 passes for 1,621 yards and 17 touchdowns.

— Senior Jordan Anderson of Gray’s Creek, first team tight end.

— Senior Calvin Boyd, second team running back.

— Senior Pete Townsend of Lumberton, second team offensive lineman.

— Senior Nydir Carr of Whiteville, second team athlete.

— Senior Derrick Jackson of Gray’s Creek, second team linebacker.

— Senior Deangel McMillian of Fairmont, second team linebacker.

— Senior Andrew Powell of Whiteville, second team linebacker.
