CLINTON — The Lady Knights scored in every inning, including an eight-run third inning on Friday and handed Clinton a 16-0 Four County Conference loss. The game was called after four innings.

West Bladen improves to 5-7 overall and 4-2 in the conference, while the Lady Dark Horses fall to 1-8, 0-6.

The Lady Knights got on the board with three runs in the first frame, added three more in the second and erupted for the eight-run inning that opened a 14-0 advantage. Two more runs in the fourth closed out the scoring.

Kathryn Schultz got the win in the circle for West Bladen, twirling a two-hitter.

At the plate, Carley Dawson was 4-for-4 with two doubles and four RBI; Logan Autry was 3-for-3 with an RBI; Alanna Ludlum was 2-for-3 with two RBI; and Laikyn Pait was 2-for-3.

— In Clinton on Friday, the Knights were held to three hits and dropped a 4-2 Four County Conference game to the Dark Horses.

The loss drops West Bladen to 3-9 overall and 2-4 in the conference, while Clinton moves to 8-4, 6-0.

The Knights got on the board in the top of the first with a run when Jeremy Hunt reached on an error, stole second, went to third on a groundout and scored on a passed ball.

Cut the Dark Horses answered with a run in the home half, then added a pair of runs in the bottom of the third for a 3-1 edge.

Clinton scored in the fourth for a 4-1 advantage before the Knights put a run on the board in the sixth behind a single by Chandler Lennon, and courtesy runner Jonathan Ashworth came around on a groundout and an RBI dribbler by Jarrett Williams.

Lennon was 2-for-3 at the plate for West.
