DUBLIN — Sophia Singletary scattered seven hits and the Lady Knights offense smacked 13 hits on Wednesday to hand visiting Wallace-Rose Hill a 9-1 Four County Conference loss.

West Bladen opened the scoring with two runs in the first on a double by Kassidy Anders, an RBI single by Logan Autry and RBI single by Alanna Ludlum.

After a scoreless second, the Lady Knights went up 3-0 on an RBI single by Singletary in the third, but the Lady Bulldogs got the run back in the top of the fourth to pull within 3-1.

West Bladen answered in the bottom of the fourth when Conner Brisson tripled and scored on a sacrifice bunt by Anderson. The Lady Knights added two runs in the fifth on an RBI double by Laikyn Pait and RBI infield single by Jenna Dove.

In the sixth, two-out infield hits by Autry and Dawson set up an RBI single by Ludlum and RBI single by Singletary to put West Bladen up by the final 9-1 margin.

Autry led the lady Knights at the plate, going 3-for-4 with an RBI. Ludlum was 2-for-3 with two RBI and Singletary was 2-for-4 with three RBI. Ludlum also threw out three base-stealers.

— In Dublin on Wednesday, the Knights were held to four hits and fell to visiting Wallace-Rose Hill in a Four County Conference game, 9-2.

The Bulldogs opened the scoring with three runs in the third and padded it to 5-0 with two runs in the fourth.

West Bladen scored a run in the fifth without a hit when Troy Edge was hit by a pitch and advanced around he bases on a passed ball and two wild pitches.

Wallace-Rose Hill scored twice in the sixth to go up 7-1 before the Knights tallied a run in the home half of the sixth when Chandler Lennon doubled, went to third on Trent West single and scored on a sacrifice fly by Jarrett Williams.

But Wallace-Rose Hill sealed the win with two runs in the seventh.
