DUBLIN — The Lady Knights of West Bladen aced visiting Pender County 9-0 in a Four County Conference tennis match on Wednesday and clinched no worse than a share of the conference crown.
West Bladen, which lost just three games the entire match, improved to 14-0 overall and 6-0 in the conference.
In singles, Alana Ludlum won an 8-0 decision at No. 1; Amber Long took an 8-0 win at No. 2; Helen Lopez got an 8-1 win at No. 3; Conner Brisson earned an 8-0 win at No. 4; Savannah Lee won an 8-0 verdict at No. 5; and Alyssa Bell took an 8-0 win at No. 6.
In doubles, Ludlum and Long teamed up for an 8-0 win at No. 1; Brisson and Lee earned an 8-1 win at No. 2; and Autum Brisson teamed with Hannah Arnett for an 8-1 win at No. 3.
The Lady Knights can clinch the conference title Thursday when they host East Bladen.
