ELIZABETHTOWN -James Crawford Johnson, 70, died Monday, September 9, at the Durham VA Hospital.

Mr. Johnson was a retired mechanic from the Ford dealership in Elizabethtown. He served in the U. S. Army and was a Korean War veteran.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Eddie Johnson and Jerry Johnson.

The funeral was held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the chapel at Kinlaw Funeral Home with the Rev. Neill Smith officiating. Burial followed in Windsor United Methodist Church Cemetery in Ammons.

Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife, Rachel Johnson; two daughters, Nancy J. Smith of Virginia Beach, Va., and Katrina Johnson of the home; two sons, James "Jimbo" Johnson, Jr., and Kenneth Wayne Johnson, both of Elizabethtown; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Kinlaw Funeral Home of Elizabethtown handled the arrangements.
