COUNCIL - Virda R. "MiMi" Black, formerly of Harvey Cedars, N. J., and Southampton, Pa., died Friday, June 6, at Bladen County Hospital. She was 77.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James M. Black.
Mrs. Black was a nurse. She taught swimming lessons, was a synchronized swimmer, and a world traveler.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p. m. Wednesday at the home, 473 Hummingbird Lane, Council, conducted by her granddaughter, Rebecca Allen.
Mrs. Black is survived by her daughter, Barbara Allen of the home; a brother, Russell Edgreen of Appalachin, N. Y.; and her granddaughter, Rebecca Allen.
Memorials are suggested to Advantage Hospice, Owen Street, Elizabethtown, N. C.
