LEOLA LOIS CAIN HARRIS

SALISBURY - Leola Lois Cain Harris died Monday, June 23, at Brian Center Health and Rahab in Salisbury. She was 80.

She was born in Cumberland County October 2, 1922, and was a daughter of the late Lambert Cain and Annie McDowell Cain.

She retired from Lawson's Construction Company in Fayetteville as a bookkeeper after 25 years. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Faith, and was a former member and secretary of Temple Baptist Church. She retired in 1995 as secretary at Temple Baptist.

She was the widow of Joseph Terrell Harris.

The funeral service was held Thursday at 10 a. m. at Powles Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Clyde Yates and Rev. Neill Smith officiating. Burial was at 2 p.m. Thursday in Lafayette Memorial Park in Fayetteville.

Mrs. Harris is survived by six sons, Lonnie Harris of Elizabethtown, James Harris of Stedman, and David L. Harris, Joseph T. Harris, Colon Harris and Len Harris, all of Salisbury; one daughter, Jeanette H. Franklin of Salisbury; 23 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.

Memorials are suggested to Faith Baptist Church Building Fund, P. O. Box 84, Faith, N. C. 28041.

Powles Funeral Home of Rockwell handled the arrangements.
