HARRELLS - Gurnice Peterson Sr., of 421 South Highway, died Saturday, July 10, at Sampson Regional Medical Center. He was 62.
The funeral service will be held today (Friday) at St. James Disciple of Christ Church of Harrells, conducted by Elder W. E. McLaurin. Burial will be in the Hayes Family Cemetery.
Mr. Peterson is survived by his wife, Janice Peterson; a daughter, Monica Peterson of Harrells; two sons, Gurnice Peterson Jr. of Wilmington and Monerrio Peterson of Harrells; two brothers, Jerry Peterson of Atkinson and John Peterson of Kelly; seven sisters, Iola Blanks of Alexandria, Va., Reva Graham of Harrells, Rose Peterson, Mary Harrell, Thelma Thomas and Rebecca Brown, all of Kelly, and Vernell Robinson of Ivanhoe; and seven grandchildren.
Summerville-Boykin Mortuary of Garland is handling the arrangements.
