Governor Mike Easley has reappointed Levy C. Pait of Bladenboro to the Bladen Community College Board of Trustees.

Pait has been a board member since 1987. He is a member of the Bladen County Planning Board and a board member of Advancement, Inc., a group that finances new businesses and creates new jobs in Bladen, Columbus, Robeson and Hoke counties.

The duties of the board of trustees are to elect a president to the institution; to employ other personnel to the community college; to purchase land that is necessary for the operation of the college; and to apply the standards for admission and graduation of the students of the institution.

The board also receives and accepts donations given to the community college and provides all or part of the instructional services for the institution.

The governor appoints four members of the college's 12-member Board of Trustees.
