The event is sponsored by Smithfield Packing Company and will feature a variety of rodeo events, as well as craft vendors and food. Among the types of food that will be available at the event will be sausage dogs, hot dogs, funnel cakes, and more.
Among the events will be a children's calf scramble. The winner of the scramble will get $25 and a tee-shirt. Other rodeo events will include bareback and saddlebronc riding, cowgirl barrel racing, cowgirl breakaway roping, open bull riding, calf roping, team roping, cowgirl goat tying, and novice bull riding (for beginners).
Junior events for ages 14 and under include cowgirl goat tying, cowgirl barrel racing, calf roping, and team roping.
Festival tee-shirts will be available at this year's event and the rodeo will give out a $100 prize each night.
Admission is $10 for adults and $6 for children age six to 11. Children under age six will be admitted free.
