A Clarkton man is in jail for allegedly breaking into a home and robbing two people.

According to arrest records, Terrence Tyree Burden, 23, was arrested Saturday on two counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon and one of breaking and entering. Burden gave deputies addresses in Oakdale Homes, Clarkton, and Alabama. His bond was set at $100,000.

Burden is alleged to have broken into the Berry Lewis Road home of Kelly Guyton on Nov. 17 and robbing two people with an assault rifle. He bound the victims with duct tape and escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Trooper C.M. Hardee of the N.C. Highway Patrol stopped Burden near Clarkton. He was taken into custody by Bladen County Sheriff's Deputies.
