COUNCIL-J. R. Caulk, 91, died Monday, March 7, at the home of his daughter in Laurel Hill.
Mr. Caulk was a member of the Council Baptist Church since 1942. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gertrude Caulk, in 1999.
The funeral service was held Thursday at 1 p. m. at Lewis Funeral Home, Bladenboro, with Rev. Jack Miller and Rev. Don Malpass officiating. Burial was in Bladen Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Caulk is survived by two daughters, Ruth Herring of Laurel Hill and Melba Clark of Elizabethtown; a son, Curtis Caulk of Leslie, Michigan; eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
