William Jefferson Corbett of White Lake has accepted membership in The National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS).
He will be honored during a campus ceremony in the fall at Appalachian State University, where is he a student.
He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Corbett of White Lake.
NSCS is a highly selective, national, non-profit honors organization. Membership is a symbol of outstanding academic achievement, and often is a doorway to jobs, scholarships, service opportunities and a unique community of scholars.
NSCS is the nation's only honors organization offering membership to first and second year college students. Membership is by invitation only, based on grade point average.
