A funeral was held at 3 p.m. Thursday at Evergreen Baptist Church, with interment in the church cemetery. Rev. Ricky Donaldson officiated.
She was the daughter of the late Lennon and Ada Cain and the widow of Truitt Shaw. She is survived by a daughter, Faye S. Britt of Lumberton; a son, James T. Shaw of Evergreen; a sister, Emma Lou Dowless of Dublin; two brothers, L.D. Cain of Matthews and Franklin Cain of Dublin; three grandchildren, and two step-grandchildren.
Visitation was held Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. at Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn.
