BLADENBORO — The Bladenboro Middle School Lady Bulldogs kept their win streak alive by winning their sixth straight game of the season 39-26 against East Arcadia in Bladen 5 Conference action Tuesday.
The Lady Bulldogs went on an 11-2 scoring spree in the first quarter to set the tempo for the game. Forward Kaitlyn Sykes with eight points led the Lady Bulldog offense. The remainder of the scoring was evenly spread out with 10 of the Lady Bulldogs contributing.
The Lady Bulldogs shot 50 percent at the free throw line. Asha led East Arcadia’s offense with 17 points including a 3-point shot. Brandie also contributed an outside trey to round out the 20 point total.

CSD beats E’town
CLARKTON — The Clarkton School of Discovery Blue Devils got a Bladen 5 Conference win over Elizabethtown Middle School 25-23 on Tuesday night.
The Blue Devils outscored Elizabethtown, 14-6 in the first half. Elizabethtown answered in the third quarter outscoring CSD 6-1. In the fourth period, both CSD and Elizabethtown kept pace with each with the Blue Devils winning the fourth quarter 10-9.
Latyson Robinson lead the Blue Devils scoring with 10. Zakeim Rogers lead the Elizabethtown Middle scoring with 14.
Clarkton finished the regular season at 4-4 in conference play.
Elizabethtown is 4-2 with two conference games remaining.
The Bladen 5 Conference tournament will be held Monday, Jan. 26, and Tuesday, Jan. 27, and Thursday, Jan. 29, at Clarkton.
