PEMBROKE — The Family Caregiver Program has funding available for unpaid caregivers caring for an older adult 60 years of age and older in Bladen, Hoke, Richmond, Robeson and Scotland counties.
Anyone who knows of a unpaid caregiver who may be eligible please refer them to the Lumber River Area Agency on Aging, Family Caregiver Program. There are $500 respite vouchers available and limited funding for wheelchair ramps.
Family Caregiver funding is for caregivers who are not receiving paid services — such as home health, hospice, CAP, and VA Home Health.
