Car show awards announced

ELIZABETHTOWN — The Classic Cruisers Car Club held their 17th annual Made in the Shade Open Car and Truck Show on Saturday.

The official results were as follows:

— Best of Show 1983 and older went to Robert Cayton of Greensboro for his 1930 Ford Model A.

— Best of Show 1984 and Newer went to J. B, Buell of Ocean Isle Beach for his 2014 Ford Roush Mustang.

— The Longest Distance Award went to Richard Ramsey of Port St. John’s, Fla for his 1971 Ford Bronco.

— Best Ford 1984 and Newer went to R. Johnson of Clinton for his Ford F 150 pickup truck.

— Best Ford pre-1084 went to Greg Outen of Monroe for his 1930 Ford T. Bucket.

— The Best Original award went to Edward Burke of Little River, S.C. for his 1955 Ford Fairlane convertible.

— Best GM 1984 and Newer went to Jimmy Duff of Wallace for his 1984 El Camino.

— Best GM Pre-1984 went to Bob Childs of Surfside Beach, S.C. for his 1931 Chevrolet four-door sedan.

— Best Other award went to Bob Mitchell of Surfside Beach, S.C. for his 1971 Excaliber.

— The Oldest Vehicle award went to Ray Allen of Elizabethtown for his 1920 Ford Model T.

— Best Camaro 1984 and Newer went to Trey Jenkins of Aynor, S.C. for his 2010 Chevrolet Camaro.

— Best Camaro 1984 and Older went to Steve Britt of Lumberton for his 1967 Camaro.

— Best Ruck 1984 and Newer went to Mel Ogburn of Emporia, VA for his 2005 Chevrolet Truck.

— Best Truck 1983 and Older went to Lynn White of Stedman for his 1955 Chevrolet Truck.

— Best Chevelle went to Michael Williams of Bolivia for his 1966 Chevelle.

— Best Foreign award went to Lathan Bill of Salemburg for his 1970 Volkswagon.

— Best Mopar 380 went to Stanton James of Ivanhoe for his 1972 Dodge Charger.

— Best Mopar 1984 and Newer Went to Sherry Mitchell of Dudley for her 1988 Chrysler.

— Best Mustang 1964-1985 went to Russell Ramsey of Burgaw for his 1970 Mustang.

— Best Mustang 1984 and Newer went to John Slopper of Ocean Isle Beach for his 2011 Shelby Mustang.

— Best Corvette 1953 through 1982 went to John Watson of Newbern for his 1964 Corvette Roadster.

— Best Corvette 1984 and Newer went to Gary Bass of Whiteville for his 2015 Corvette.

— The Ladies Choice Award went to Sherry Williams of Jacksonville for her pink 1977 Ford Bronco.

— Best Rat Rod went to Elbert Watson Jr. of Rose Hill for his 1947 Chevrolet pickup.

— Most Unusual award went to Henry Jackson of Dillon, S.C. for his 1934 Ford all wooden truck.

— Best Street Rod went to William Saunders of Fayetteville for his 1948 Chevrolet.
