Bladen County businesses and government offices have announced closings for the Labor Day holiday.

Those include:

— All federal courts and North Carolina courts will be closed on Monday, Sept. 7, in observance of the holiday. They will resume normal operations on Tuesday, Sept. 8.

— There will be no mail delivery on Monday, Sept. 7, in observance of the Labor Day holiday. Regular mail delivery will resume on Tuesday, Sept. 8.

— All federal offices, state offices and local county and municipal government offices will be closed Monday, Sept. 7, to mark the holiday. They will resume normal operations on Tuesday, Sept. 8.

—Bladen County Schools will be closed on Monday, Sept. 7, in observance of the holiday. Classes will resume on Tuesday, Sept. 8.

— The Bladen County Transfer Station will be closed Monday, Sept. 7, in observance of Labor Day. Normal operations shall resume on Tuesday, Sept. 8. All other county collection sites will be open to serve the public’s trash disposal needs.

— The Bladen Journal offices will be closed on Monday, Sept. 7, in observance of the holiday. They will reopen on Tuesday, Sept. 8, at 9 a.m.
