Fayetteville Area Habitat for Humanity to honor volunteers, community partners

FAYETTEVILLE — Fayetteville Area Habitat for Humanity will host its annual breakfast at 8 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 27, at the Crown Ballroom to highlight the affiliate’s work in disaster relief and affordable housing construction and honor volunteers and community partners who make the work possible.

The annual breakfast is a casual event that celebrates Habitat’s mission to build homes, communities, and hope. The event is free, and registration is open to corporate partners, individual donors, community leaders, and volunteers with a shared vision of making affordable homeownership a reality.

Winners will be announced for the following award categories: Community Partner Award; Community Builder; Best Partner; Building on Faith; and Volunteer of the Year.

Awards will be presented by Tammy Laurence, FAHFH executive director, and Van Gunter III, FAHFH board chair. City of Fayetteville Mayor Nat Robertson will keynote the event, along with additional remarks from N.C. Emergency Management Director Michael Sprayberry.

“The annual breakfast is where we honor those who support the Habitat team and community partner families,” said Tammy Laurence, FAHFH executive director. “Our board will present a state of the organization to celebrate how far we’ve come after a challenging year. We have come a long way, and we have a lot of great work to do.”

JerFilm Productions will premiere Habitat’s annual impact video during the event.
