Bladen County businesses and organizations have announced closings for the Christmas holiday. They include:

— U.S Post Office locations nationwide will be closed Christmas Eve, Sunday, Dec. 24. Blue collection boxes will not be serviced Christmas Eve. Regular collections will be made Saturday, Dec. 23. In addition, post office locations will be closed Monday, Christmas Day, and regular mail will not be delivered. Normal office hours and mail delivery will resume Tuesday, Dec. 26. Wednesday, Dec. 20, will be the last day for Priority Mail delivery by Christmas, and Dec. 22 will be the last day for Priority Mail Express delivery by Christmas.

— All branches of the Bladen County Public Library will be closed from Saturday, Dec. 23, to Wednesday, Dec. 27, for the Christmas holiday. The branches will reopen on Thursday, Dec. 28.

— Bladen County administrative offices will be closed Monday, Dec. 25, through Wednesday, Dec. 27. The offices will re-open Thursday, Dec. 28.

— Town of Elizabethtown offices will be closed Monday, Dec. 25, through Wednesday, Dec. 27. Normal business hours will resume Thursday, Dec. 28.

— The Bladen Journal offices will be closed Monday, Dec. 25, for Christmas. Normal business hours will resume Tuesday, Dec. 26.

— Bladen Community College will be closed Dec. 21-27.

— Bladen County Schools will be closed for staff and students through the remainder of the year.

— Paul R. Brown Leadership Academy’s last day of classes will be Friday, Dec. 22. The school will be closed for the remainder of the year.

— Emereau: Bladen’s winter break will continue through the remainder of the year.

— All federal, state, and municipal government offices not already mentioned will be closed Monday, Dec. 25.

— All federal, state, and local courts will be closed Monday, Dec. 25 in observance of Christmas.
