— The Bladen County Law Enforcement Officers Association will host a concealed carry permit class at the Bladen County Law Enforcement Firing Range, located behind the old White Lake Department of Corrections Facility at 5853 U.S. 701 North in White Lake from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The cost will be $80 and includes all course materials, a certificate of completion and a noon meal. Safety equipment will be provided. All you need to bring is the weapon you wish to qualify with and your ammunition. A minimum of 30 rounds of ammunition is required. Also bring a billed hat or cap to wear while qualifying. Payment will be due the day of the class. — All Bladen County Democrats who live in Elizabethtown Precincts 1 and 2 are invited to meet for their annual precinct meeting. The meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. at the Powell-Melvin Agricultural Center.

Feb. 13

— Lower Cape Fear Hospice will offer a 90-minute grief workshop, “Understanding Grief and Loss,” on Tuesday, Feb. 13, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. at the Bladen County office located at 116. W. — NCDOT will hold a public open house concerning a roundabout where N.C. 410 and N.C. 41 cross with an all-way stop. The open house will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 13, at Bladen Community College at 7418 N.C. 41 in Dublin. NCDOT representatives will be available to answer questions and collect comments about the proposed project. Comments may also be submitted until Feb. 27. — Windsor United Methodist Church, located at 12863 N.C. 242 North in Elizabethtown, will host a spaghetti dinner and a silent auction from 4 to 7 p.m. Eat in or take out. Suggested donation is $6. All proceeds will benefit a Teen Challenge program in the county.

• LUMBERTON: The ninth annual ape Fear Regional Cattle Conference will be held at the Southeastern N.C. Agricultural Events Center located at 1027 U.S. 74 East in Lumberton.
