ELIZABETHTOWN — Wednesday morning, school counselors employed by Bladen County Schools met to talk about, among other things, opioids in the school system.

In addition to approximately 10 counselors, present were Bladen County Commissioner Charles Ray Peterson, Eastpointe representative Cheryl Harris, and Andrea Locklear, mental health provider in Robeson County, as well as multiple central office staff.

Locklear encouraged counselors to utilize a Parents 360 Rx video to educate parents about the signs of prescription drug use among teenagers.
