RANDLEMAN — GOP presidential candidate Dr. Ben Carson will visit Victory Junction on Monday September 28th. The camp in Randleman, NC provides exciting, fun, empowering and life changing experiences for children with serious medical conditions. Dr. Carson will be accompanied by one of the camp founders Richard Petty. There will also be Victory Junction campers and their family’s attending. All participants will be available for interview.
News media outlets are welcome to attend the event. The Carson campaign bus is expected at 9:30 am. If you are interested in covering the visit please arrive at Victory Junction by 9:00am and enter through the main gates of the camp at 4500 Adams Way.
In the wake of the untimely death of NASCAR driver Adam Petty, Victory Junction was founded in his honor in 2004 to realized Adam’s dream of creating a camp for children battling disease or disability. Victory Junction helps enrich the lives of children in a safe and medically-sound environment, while allowing them to do what they do best— be kids, play, imagine, make friends and enjoy the adventures and experiences of camp life. To date Victory Junction has provided its unique camp experience to more than 23,000 children and their families. The Victory Junction camp experience is available to children ages six to 16, always at no cost to campers or their families.
