Helen Hollis, president of the Colly Extension and Community Association Club, recently presented a check for $2,061 to Overseer Delma Autry of Evening Light Holiness Church in Garland. This was the amount netted from the fundraiser sponsored by the club at The Cooperative Extension Center recently.

The monies will go towards the rebuilding of the church, which was destroyed by fire on Dec. 12, 2017. The congregation is presently having services at the United Methodist Church on Fourth Street in Garland.

The Colly club would like to thank everyone for their support during the fundraiser. The purpose of the ECA is to strengthen families through: leadership development; Volunteer work; educational support and research-based education from N.C. State University and A&T State University.
