DUBLIN — Several special scholarship presentations were recently made to West Bladen seniors.

Othella Santee Heflin and Becky Heflin presented scholarships to:

— Glorimar Cuz Pagan received a $500 scholarship in honor of Rebecca (Becky) Heflin. Pagan is pursuing a career in nursing.

— Nakayla Pridgen received a $500 scholarship in honor of Gladysteen Pait, whose son, Matthew, and his family, were on hand to receive the scholarship for Pridgen in her absence due to other committments. Pridgeon will also pursue a career in nursing.

— Ricardo Vazquez Ramirez was given a $500 schoalrship in memory of Eddie Heflin for welding career interests.

West Bladen Principal Peggy Hester, allied health teacher Mary Todd, welding instructor Clayton Dowless, Phyllis Powers and boys basketball coach Travis Pait assisted in the presentations.
