It’s going to be hot, hot, hot!

The Bladen County region has been placed under a heat advisory Tuesday from 11 a.m. through 8 p.m. by the National Weather Service in Wilmington.

According to the forecast, temperatures are expected to reach the upper 90s and move the heat index to 107 degree or more. There is also a slight chance for thunderstorms late in the day.

The trend of heat advisories for the area could continue through the week, as temperatures are expected to remain in the mid- to upper-90s.

Anyone with outdoor employment or other activities art being urged to stay hydrated and to get into shady or air-conditioned areas as often as possible.
