Bladen County Farm Bureau President Albert Beatty presents Jacob Barber with the Bladen County Farm Bureau Scholarship for 2018. Barber was also awarded the R. Flake Shaw Scholarship, given by North Carolina Farm Bureau.
Barber is the son of George and Sonya Barber. He plans to continue his education at N.C. State University and obtain a major in Plant and Soil Science.
The Farm Bureau program provides an important service to deserving youth in the area and state that have a desire to further their education and pursue a career path in agriculture.
