DUBLIN — The Board of Trustees for Bladen Community College has begun the search for the next president of the college. The trustees have engaged the Association of Community College Trustees (ACCT) to assist with the process. ACCT will work directly with the BCC trustees to develop a presidential profile and facilitate the process of recruiting highly competitive candidates.

An important step in the presidential search process is the development of a Presidential Profile, which outlines the qualities, characteristics, and qualifications most desired in the next president. To gather community input in the development of the Presidential Profile, the college is hosting community open forums. All members of the community and college are invited and encouraged to attend.

One-hour open forums are scheduled on August 1, 2018 as follows:

— 2-3 p.m., Building 17, Room 102 Teaching Auditorium. College employees are encouraged to attend this forum.

— 4-5 p.m., Building 17, Room 102 Teaching Auditorium

— 6-7 p.m., Building 17, Room 102 Teaching Auditorium.

Interested citizens may also complete an anonymous survey online at www.surveymonkey.com/r/BladenCommunityCollege. Submit online surveys by noon on Friday, Aug. 3, 2018.

Bladen Community College will provide information to the public on all aspects of the presidential search, posting information and progress reports to the college website.
