ELIZABETHTOWN — Spending by visitors has increased in Bladen County.

The latest numbers from Visit North Carolina, reflecting the calendar year 2017, are 4.78 percent higher than the previous year. The rise from 2016 to 2017 had been just 1.86 percent.

Visit North Caroilna is a part of the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina and commissions the study conducted by the U.S. Travel Association. It is released annually in the fall.
