Walter McDuffie has been named a life member in the N.C. Pest Management Association.

The status is based on an individual’s active membership for 20 years or more and outstanding service to the pest management profession.

He started his business in 1964, joining NCPMA shortly after receiving his entomology degree from N.C. State and founding McDuffie Pest Control in Elizabethtown. He’s served multiple terms on the state board and was association president in 1982. He’s one of just six individuals to receive the life member recognition.

His daughter Dana made the presentation.
