ELIZABETHTOWN — Earth Day activities at Emereau: Bladen Charter School included visits from representatives of the Bladen County Agriculture Department, 4-H and Fort Fisher Aquarium.

Students learned about habitats, extinction, gardening and caring for farm animals. Ladybugs, chickens, alligators and snakes were part of the instructional exhibits.

The students took a nature walk, cleaning the campus as they went, and members of the Junior Beta Club planted flowers that will later go to residents at Elizabethtown Nursing Center.
