DUBLIN — Todd Lyden, director of the Small Business Center at Bladen Community College, will host two counseling sessions at county libraries this summer.

The sessions are on Wednesdays from 1 to 3 p.m. and will be on the following dates:

July 17: Bladenboro.

Aug. 14: Clarkton.

In addition, a monthly conference call has been established to help small businesses in rural areas. Register online for July 12 at 10:30 a.m. The call will focus on email; the session is entitled, “Rural Marketing Roundup: Email is Still Important.”

Two livestream events are at the incubator in Elizabethtown, 207 E. Broad St. On July 17 at noon, it’s “Get Productive with Google’s Digital Tools.” On July 18 at 1:30 p.m., it’s “Online Tools and Apps.” Each is about an hour.

The Google tools webinar targets prospective entrepreneurs and exisiting business owners; bring your lunch. The next day’s session explores what is called “freemium” apps and online tools, meaning to be able to avoid costs but still establish efficiencies in human resources, invoicing and other practices.
