ELIZABETHTOWN — The Bladen Relay for Life chairwoman Mary Williams and the Relay committee hosted survivors, teams and participants at the 2018-19 awards and wrap-up meeting June 25.

The meeting was held at the Powell-Melvin Agricultural Service Center in Elizabethtown. Cancer survivors, donors and sponsors were celebrated for making this year’s Relay a success.

Williams presented awards to the teams and sponsors, and offered thank yous to the media for coverage of the events. Dr. Lisa Bryan and the Rev. Sherry Harvey were also a part of the program.

The year officially ends in August; donations can still be made toward this year’s goal.

Williams said the 2019-20 Relay campaign will kickoff in October, and encouraged everyone to consider starting a team.
