CLARKTON — A community blood drive is Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Cape Fear Heating & Cooling, U.S. 701 in Clarkton.
The Cape Fear Valley Blood Donor Center is hoping for type O blood, which has a critical shortage, but all blood types are needed. Donations will help Bladen County Hospital; its only source of blood is the Cape Valley center, a news release says.
Donors receive T-shirts while supplies last and will be entered for a chance to win a Google Home Mini.
