RALEIGH — Public comment is being sought for the ReBuild NC plan of administering Hurricane Florence recovery funding.

This is done through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Community Development Block Grant-Disaster Recovery program, also commonly known as CDBG-DR. It includes $542 million.

The draft action plan is available at rebuild.nc.gov, and printed copies can be obtained by calling 984-833-4344.

Comments can be made by email to publiccomments@rebuild.nc.gov and by snail mail to ReBuild NC, Attn: Florence Action Plan, P.O. Box 110465, Durham, NC, 27709.

The comment period ends at 5 p.m. on March 8.

ReBuild NC, a release says, “is the state’s long-term disaster recovery agency administered by the North Carolina Office of Recovery and Resiliency. In addition to assisting hurricane survivors with home repairs and reconstruction, the office administers programs that include resiliency, affordable housing, mitigation, buyout, and local government grants and loans.”
