Coronavirus: Anonymous donor gifts lunches to reopened Garland Shirt Factory

GARLAND — The Garland Shirt Factory, also known as Brooks Brothers Shirt Factory, closed earlier this year but reopened with 55 employees in order to make surgical masks in response to the coronavirus pandemic.

To show appreciation, an anonymous donor gifted them with lunches prepared and delivered by Southern Smoke BBQ. In a town of just over 600, and a factory that once employed about 250, this is a small part of the solution.
