Curfews were enacted in three Bladen County municipalities Monday evening, all coming in response to civil unrest sweeping the nation.

Elizabethtown, Bladenboro and Clarkton all sent out releases with identical language, describing a curfew that started at 8:30 p.m. and ended at 6 a.m. on Monday of next week. There was no allowance noted for work during the day, or any other activities, outside of emergency workers and first responders.

Elizabethtown corrected its release Monday before it went into effect to say the curfew is daily, from 8:30 p.m. to 6 a.m/
