Cheryl West has been registered as an organ donor since she was 16 years old.

West says she decided to become a registered organ donor because she “wanted to give someone else a chance if possible.”

Not only is she registered, but her husband Alan and their three children are as well.

To anyone who feels that organ donation is not for them, Cheryl West says, “I can understand your apprehension, but the Bible says we are only given this body for a short time.”

She said in 2 Corinthians 4:18, it says, “For all things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.”

West said, “Why not possibly give a piece of what we have been so blessed to have if it means giving life or wholeness to someone else?”

There are many generous organ donors everywhere, and we encourage you to become one too and give someone else that chance of “life or wholeness.”

One person can save up to eight lives and change the lives of up to 50 people. To register to be an organ donor, go to DonateLifeNC.com.
