ELIZABETHTOWN — Jadakiss Watkins, a 20-year-old accused of murder 17 months ago in Columbus County, has been arrested along with 19-year-old Kaitlin Mitchell, a release says.
The two were in a vehicle stopped by lawmen from the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office on Saturday along Elwell Ferry Road in the Council community. They face charges related to illegal narcotics. Bail was set at $15,000 for Mitchell and $10,000 for Watkins.
Watkins was 18 when he was charged in February 2020 with the murder of Dwon Demontre Maultsby, 28, of Chadbourn. He had been out on bail prior to Saturday’s arrest.
