ELIZABETHTOWN — Lawmen say the body found in a home on Lawrence Brown Road on Monday was that of a person reported missing two days earlier.
Samantha Christina White, 26, was discovered by a person wishing to remain anonymous who called the Bladen Journal office in Elizabethtown. The Bladen County Sheriff’s Office was notified immediately with information.
An autopsy at the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office in Raleigh confirmed the identification. Lawmen have yet to say what caused her death. An investigation is ongoing.
A release from the Sheriff’s Office says she was last seen alive on Oct. 6, and her boyfriend reported her missing Oct. 9. The report was filed with the Bladenboro Police Department.
Lawrence Brown Road is not far from Center Road’s intersection with N.C. 211.
