Friends of the Mountains to Seal Trail is inviting the public to attend forums dedicated to planning the future of the Coast Crescent Trail across Bladen, Johnston, Sampson, Cumberland, Pender, and Onslow counties.

Friends created the trail as a way for people who are hiking across North Carolina to explore some of the most special places in the Coastal Plain. Now, Friends is seeking ideas for how to make the route even more enjoyable and interesting – by making sure travelers see interesting spots, by moving parts of the trail that are on roads to trail, and by identifying camping and lodging spots.

Public forums will be held at the four locations along the trail as listed below. Participants are invited to drop in at any time during the two-hour session to see proposed trail maps and share ideas. A brief project overview will be presented at 5 p.m. and 6 p.m.
